Bit of explanation to start: This particular client has used -- with little success -- WinFax in the past to attempt sending reports to clients via fax. He's not willing at this point to consider using anything but the fax capabilities of Windows Server 2003.

What we're wanting to do, programmatically, is this:

- Create a report in Access
- Create a cover page, populated with stored data (fax number, receiver name, etc)
- Send without user being prompted by wizards etc

I do know how to create a report, set a report to use a different printer, and how to extract the pertinent recipient data. I'm just not familiar with the fax software that comes as a part of Windows Server 2003.

If there is no practical means of doing this as described, then of course I'm glad to listen to 3rd party solutions as alternatives. The client has such bad experiences in the past with WinFax that he's not wanting to venture off the Microsoft trail this time around.

Workstations are currently running Windows 2000 and Access 2000. I believe Outlook 2000 is also installed on each, though I don't think it's in wide usage.

Thanks much in advance!

Is there somewhere specific on that site that you're recommending? When I search for "fax" I get several links to articles, primarily on server setup.

Thanks!

No, I just found it from another forum where someone was asking the same thing, and it seemed to provide what information they needed.

Maybe you can try a little more specific search using Google directly on that site (Search within site).
