We have several 4.11 servers, but a particular one is running out of room. It has a scsi controller and a 4gig drive, which has an 800MB SYS volume and a 3.2G VOL1 volume. This drive is mirrored to another 4 gig drive.

I am interested in breaking the mirror and copying the 4 gig onto a 9 gig (or 18gig) drive and have the netware paritions expanded.

What tools might you suggest? Servermagic (if so, give a few hints or guidelines). In an earlier situation, we had an outside drive service company do something like this, but we may need to do this to some of the other servers, so we want to get it going ourselves.

Hi,

ServerMagic is definately the way to go. I would approach it this way:

1. Break mirror.
2. Remove one 4GB drive and replace with bigger.
3. Remirror.
4. Break mirror.
5. Replace the other 4gb drive with a bigger one.
6. Remirror.
7. Expland Partition with ServerMagic.

It's not difficult at all.

I would also ensure you have a complete backup or two before you start anything of this nature so should things go wrong you have a decent backup to fall back on. -----------------------------------------------------
