Hello,

I'm new here, but i've been visiting tek-tips for a long time. I finally decided to join because I've been given the task of creating an online reporting site for the small company I just joined.

Some Information about my skills:
3+ years w/ Microsoft Access & VBA (Some .adp)
a splash of html
Learning C++ now (school)

Some information about what I need to be able to do:
Have a login page, session timer etc... (different clients will be able to view different reports)

Connect to SQL 2003 to query information for reports...

Graphically display some reports (graphs etc)

I'd also like to be able for the client to build on the fly reports from their data...

I'll do all of the research to learn whatever I need to.

My question to you is, what is the best platform(s) to be able to do this....???

Thank you for the advice :)

Realistically because you need to connect to a MSSQL server ASP or ASP.NET are your options.

Chris.

Indifference will be the downfall of mankind, but who cares?
Time flies like an arrow, however, fruit flies like a banana.

You can do SQL Server Reporting Servies via Azure which mighr save you load of work (and probs create a load more)
