Hello all,

I'm new to Networker 7.3.2 (was using BackupExec prior to this) and still playing around with the basics of this program. One thing I could not quite figure out was an easy way to monitor the progress of a current backup. I first looked at the percentage complete in the Group Monitoring area but it seems to me that the percentage updates as clients in that group are done being backed up. If I have one client in there there it will stay at 0% until that client is done. Not really helpful in that situation.

I've resorted to just looking at the amount of data on the tape as it's going to sort of figure out how far in the job I am but I cannot shake the feeling that there is some tab or progress bar right in front of me that I am missing. If anyone could give me some pointers it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
C

Hi,

don't know if it is what you're after but I usualy find the session tab the best one. There you can see each save set's performance and the amount of data backed up. In the group progress it is as you have figured out only finished save sets that counts and not the progress in each save set.
