Best Switch 8 Port?!

Hi!

I plan to use a 3com Switch 8 Port in a semiprofessional Network environment. I want to have maximum Performance for data transactions and I want to haven an overview wether a port is responding or not. Maybe I can also see if a Port is on half or full duplex state. Which Switch do you prefer? the 3com dual speed switch plus or the 3com dual speed switch??
