The best "study guide" for the CCNA is to get 2 books, the Sybex CCNA Study Guide by Todd Lammle and a book by Cisco Press. That gives you 2 DIFFERENT prespectives on the CCNA, Cisco Press tends to go into much more detail and Lammle tends to give you what you need to pass the exam, between the 2 you get that good overall understanding of the subject.
It is also highly advised here to put a Cisco lab together with Cisco routers and switches to get HANDS-ON practice, as you read something in one of the books - try it on the lab!!!!
Also read back over the past posts here for lots of good information. Good luck!!!
