Need advice
I have 2 w2K DC's one holds all the roles and the other the infrastrucure role also have 1 exchange 2000 and 1 Cad,1 CRM and 5 other apps servers what would be best sequence to shut these down and bring them backup?

A simple task - if it is a planned shut down or a emergency shut down - it should go as follows

1. All app servers and DB servers CRM or CAD servers first.
2. If the exchange box is its own box take that down next
3. Then the DC comes down
4. Then the PDC

to reboot reverse the order

4. PDC
3. DC
2. Exchange
1. Apps

Remember to avoid confusion and elections the PDC is the last to go down and the first to come up also rember Exchange relys on the active directory
