Does anyone limit the VM box for saved messages in Unity? I have several offenders that I put a 20 meg limit on, which lets them save around 50 messages as compared to the 200-250 they were saving.

Limiting my users to 20 meg on their voice mail box freed up almost 2 gig of space- well worth the effort.

We allow 28.8Meg which is about 1 hour worth of messages. Deleted messages are still saved until the end of the week when they are purged. Works great and we are currently holding to about 20% of the drive spaced used.

Putting a mailbox quota is definitely necessary. Most users will keep their messages down, but you do get those few that will try to save every message forever unless you stop them. For true power users, we'll double the quota but never remove it.
