I'm a newbie to FrontPage, but interested in doing things "right".

Is there a best practice when it comes to the use of the _private folder? According to this link --

"The _private folder is the proper place to store out-of-date files, extra images that will eventually be used in the website, and so on. You can create as many additional folders within the _private folder as you need."

Does that fit your realworld experience?

Since I do a lot of cgi-bin stuff on my site that requires access to partial html files, text files and the like, _private is where I store them... There's no danger of someone's accidentally gaining access. I also have files that are used in recording page hits and those are stored in a subfolder in private.

Some of the automated scripts running related to my site will upload copies of files they use that functionally reside on my home computer into the _private directory.

All in all I use it quite a bit; it's very useful for "hiding" files.
