Hello,

Are there any best practices in migrating folders from one repository to another (using the repository manager)? Should other users be locked out of the mappings within these folders in designer? I've been dragging and dropping the folders without any problem, but I wanted to see if anyone else had any suggestions.

Also, is there a best practice in reimporting a source? I am making a change to the physical table and want to ensure that this change will be noted in any existing mappings. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I've found that it's best to kick everyone off (lock wise) before I promote mappings etc. You sometimes find that locks make it fail.
Reimporting sources will pick up the changes. If your using the source in a number of mappings it's a good idea to have a generic source/target folder to import to. All the mapping sources should be dragged in from this folder then when you want to reimport a changed source/target definition it will update all the mappings as well in one go.
Just a thought....

cheers
