Best Practices around Sage Updater

We're humming along on ERP 2012 after a pretty painless double upgrade from 5.6 past 6.0. The new updater thing wants to run everywhere.

Has anyone figured this thing out yet? Should it really run on all the workstations? It won't be able to do anything positive since none of our users have admin privileges to their workstation though a few have some admin privileges in accpac. Is this going to bite me?

I uninstall it right after installing Accpac. What a load of crap....

I agree with Ettienne. If you're a site with no customizations then it might be useful. Otherwise we have enough tray icons vying for our attention.
