Hi,
I want to Ghost an newly upgraded server.
The config is this:
Win2k3 SP2 on two scsi drives that are being software mirrored.
Server is an IBM X220 with backplane installed for hot swappable drives.
I installed a ServerRaid 4lx card and have two 146GB drives that are mirrored.
Here is my problem.
The existing 36GB drives are inserted into the enclosure that connects to the backplane that connects to the onboard SCSI AIC-7899 Ultra 160.
My new drives are the same except bigger 146GB. I've already mirrored them by connecting the 4LX card to the backplane and inserting the new drives for mirroring and applying the config to the 4LX.
Is my best bet to Ghost the original drives to an image via a network share?
Should I break the software mirror before doing the the ghost?
Will the software mirror have any affect when I apply the Ghost image to the new drives connected the the new Raid4LX card?
Cheers, and thanks in advance.
