Hello everyone,
I need a bit of advice. I will be installing MS SQL 2005 standard edition on a dual xeon 3ghz, 600gb hd raid 5, 60 gb raid 1, 4gb ram poweredge server that is already running exchange 2003 on windows 2003 standard edition.
We have approximately 130 users who use the mail and 75 will be accessing the database.
Has anyone done something like this, do you think my server can handle the load?
My other option will be to install the sql 2005 on a terminal server (also a poweredge 2950 identical to my exchange server) running 2x application server (2x.com) which is where the database application will also be. I plan on using terminal services for users to access the database and 2x app. server is the seamless window (like citrix).
Thoughts, advice?
Thanks!
