I want an application to run somewhere on my network to monitor traffic. I'd like to see bandwidth sent/received for a given time period, web sites visited, as well as IP & port info. It would be helpful to be able to monitor my edge device as well as individual nodes. I'm wondering if anyone has any preferred apps that do this sort of thing. Thanks.

If you are specifically interested in Web statistics (which is what your post looks like), Squid or another transparent proxy server would probably be your ideal application.

Squid is bundled with most Linux-based firewalls.
