This topic has been covered before, but sometimes the answers change as time goes on. What is the best IP phone model for use in a Nortel CS1000 system?
We have a large Nortel deployment and all the IP phones all work great. We are phasing in the 6140 model as older 2212s are replaced.
Trouble is we want to standardize our desktop model.
Some here like the i2007s, I like the 1140's, and we've had success with the 1230s too. Can anybody tell me what (if anything) a 1230 lacks as opposed to a 1140e? I notice it's absent on the list of supported models for some VOIP recording devices. I'm not sure if it lacks a built in bridge or if they are just too new to make the list. Functionally, they seem very similar to me.
Please let me know what you are using out there or considering to use for IP phones as the Nortel, err I mean Avaya terrain changes! We are upgrading over 10K Nortel digital stations over the next few years. Thanks!
