I just re-formatted my old P3-500MHz, re-installed W98SE and have not installed an email client yet.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an email client that would serve multiple accounts? A calendar would be nice but it is not a requirement. I would also like to be able to reply to email from the account it was sent to (Outlook requires one to pick an account from a menu or the default account is used, correct?). It would be great if the client could also read web-mail (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail etc, I plan to use ePrompter if it cannot).

My options:
Outlook 2002
Outlook Express
Thunderbird w/ Sunbird
Other free or near free email

Thanks for your input.

Mozilla thunderbird works great for multiple accounts. You can set it so that they all use the same outgoing server, or you can set individual servers.

Any replies are made using the account the message came in to. It'a ALOT easier to keep track of what you're doing and where it's coming from than outlook.

You can use 'extensions' to get an ical compatible calendar. Since it will read the ical format, you can even publish the cal online so you can view it at home/work at the same time - less trying to remember to sync.

one place giving free storage for calendars - both public and secure, is at

Which extension would one use for a calendar? Is it W98 compatible (since iCal is MAC OS as far as I understand)?

Is anyone aware of extesions (or other clients) that would allow one to check web mail (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail etc)

Thanks
