best dsl VPN solution?

I've looked up dsl vpn-routers and found the Netopia R910 that can accept VPN connections (serves as vpn server) and it's only about $190

Besides windows 2k or 2k3 RRAS, what is the best VPN solution behind a DSL router?

Are there any easy-to-setup linux VPN servers that work with DSL routers that accept ipsec/pptp passthrough?
