Best Development tool for Informix?

I would like to learn a language that will connect to Informix databases. I have tried 4GL before and would like to go into visual programming. What do you think is the most popular dev tool for Informix databases right now (eg VB, Java, C++, Powerbuilder, Newera, D4GL, etc.)

In Java, you may want to check out Cloudscape. It's owned by Informix

you download a free developers copy. It will work on other RDBS as well.

The solution at hand and what you're trying to integrate will sometimes tell you which language you'll need. For example if you doing distributed applications, or remote database synchronization then the product above would be a logical choice. Hope this helps.
