Hello all,

I have yet to find a book that clearly explains how to set up multihomed ISP connections with two different routers going to two different ISPs. Almost every book I've seen just gives you a laundry list of BGP attributes with a dictionary definition of each, without ever applying them to real world examples. I want a book that explains exactly which router to configure MED, Local Preference, and AS Path Prepend on i.e. your border router or the ISP's border router? Can someone recommend such a book?

Thanks,
Nick

I like the "Building Scalable Cisco Networks" from Cisco Press. It dicusses multihoming etc. It explains all the attributes and how to use them.

ISBN: 1-57870-228-3

It covers more than just BGP too, so it's a good reference.
