Besides Cisco certs would it be wise to

Get Novell and Microsoft certifications? i currently am taking classes on these two Network Operation Systems. Would it be beneficial to have this on my resume to or would they just really care about the Cisco if they were looking for certs?

Good question. But the answer is: what is your goal?
A certification sounds good in a resume indeed, but the most important thing is that you will learn something.
I know, you will say: I can learn without to have an exam. I would answer is not so. Exams will keep you focused.

As about having knowledge (certifications if you want) in these 2 NOS areas, it can be just good. I started with Novell (CNE) now, MCSE2k. ANd I can tell you that the information that I aquired made me to see from a different point of view these products. And it will also help you to be less subjective.

So, just to it. I invested (everything from my wallet) and I was doing these just for me, keeping me in the group of professionals. And of course, thinking about a better future.
