BES still needs to use Redirector????

I posted a message prior on the issue of not being to send emails from a Blackberry. Upon further investigation it seems that the BES install I did on the users machine still wants to use the redirector to send emails. Is this the case? Does the BES only forward incoming emails? Do I still need to be running ridirector in order to send e-mails??



If any knows please help me out.
