calling all admins, what type up setup do most of you have?
We are looking for a DR solution and I would like to hear your experiences with that. We have a 500 license BES 3.6.5 with around 415 users now on a 2000 Server box.

My next question. We distributed the Cingular 7280's almost a year ago to our sales people all over the country and some are starting to have issues with SIM cards or error codes and such. Am i suppose to provide a software upgrade to the handhelds after a period of time or what? We did not want them to download anything to them since the issues it would cause. So what is out there? Thank you for your time

If they are running 3.6 device software and are consistently loosing their GPRS signal, then a software upgrade to 3.8 or even 4.0 should take care of it. You can do this even if you don't upgrade to BES 4.0, however I would recommend upgrading to BES 4.0 if for no other reason that the added administrative features that it provides.

It seems that if the sales people were to update the handheld software that it may stop service to it. We had a couple of people in the field do that and they ended up having to send it back in so i can resync it.

We currently have about 5 different service providers (including Cingular) for approximately 2500 devices world wide. We have a 3.6 BES and the Cingular devices were having issues with losing their GPRS signal. We upgraded the ones with the problem to 3.8 device software (a few to 4.0 including my boss  and thus far it has corrected the problem for every user.

Just got done downloading the 4.0 desktop software with the 4.0 handheld software. Before - My BB was working just fine with 3.7 and was sending and receiving from work. After - My BB is not sending and receiving nada. When i try to compose email it say there are no message services configured..

How do i upgrade devices in the field without having the sales people send them in and not kill the service..Does this make sence..

is there something i can do from the BES that will gte it back up.
