Anybody have some insight on configuring dscp on a BES 50 switch. I assume that dscp 46 is the default for Nortel IP phones. But I am a bit mystified on the terminology and how exactly to configure the switch to prioritize the traffic. On a 3 com swicth it is as simple as moving dscp 46 to que 4. But not as intuitive on the BES 50.

From the documentation ....

Enabling IP DSCP priority
You can select Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP) service as the method for prioritizing Layer 3/4 traffic. The subsequent mapping is to a Class of Service value on the switch.
Procedure steps
Step Action
1 From the main menu, choose Applications > Priority > IP DSCP Status.
2 Select the Enabled check box.
3 Click Submit.

Once enabled, DSCP 46 is predefined for a COS of 7.

If you want to get deeper than that, you need the documnetation.

Thnaks that was simpler than I thought, I was looking at the qos parmaters and custom defines and missed the basic menu choice.
