BERR0202 when doing a datadump

We have an Option 81c (RLS 25.40b). For the past three nights we've been getting BERR0202 (SIMM parity error) messages during the datadump in our nightly routines. I've notified our vendor and they're sending a technician out but I'm curious what effect this could have to call processing. If the memory fails, won't the 81c switch over to it's standby core? We got some of these errors a few months ago and the vendor applied a patch, turned on BUG reporting and we hadn't seen anything since. Any input is greatly appreciated.

unless your switch is fugi, (glass interface) your switch should switch cpu's and cmdu's during midnights... ld 135 stat cpu or 137 stat...see if rdun is =yes.. the backup will not effect call processing unless you do a restart on old data, until it's fixed keep a record of all changes, you may need to re-enter them...

Thanks for the reply. The messages are coming during the day now, even without a datadump. Every once in a while we'll get 3 to 5 of them rapid fire, then it's calm for a while. Our vendor still hasn't sent a tech yet but so far we haven't had an interruption of service.
 
i would esculate the trouble, call back, and take to a supervisor.. that's not a minor trouble..you have trouble in the active core.. i would have done a load 43 edd before 8, and then a load 135 scpu, then try ld 43 edd on the other side...i do that every morning a 07:00, i also have 5 sets of disk, a pair for each day..that way i can back up the switch to this morning or last wed morning etc..and by doing it while i'm in the switchroom, i know it's broke before it goes down
