BENT 8.5 and Exabyte EZ17 crc errors in backups

Hi all,

We seem to be getting CRC errors on two slots with our EZ17 autoloader and
Mammoth2 tape drive. We have the latest firmware for the drive and the EZ17
passes all the manual tests. However, without fail, every Wed. and Sat. (Slots
2 and 5) we get CRC errors. Sometimes on the verify and sometimes on the
start of the backup. We currently have a 5 week rotation of tapes, but we
have tried brand new tapes in those trouble slots. Exabyte claims it must
be BENT. Any ideas?

Go to the Veritas support web site at support.veritas.com and download the latest driver set from their download page. I have seen the updated driver resolve this issue.
The file you are looking for is:
BNT85IDRV28_235103.EXE
