bent 8.0 HP24i doesn't work with DDS3 tape

Hi,

bent 8.0, works fine with DDS2 tape but they are too small.
Trying DDS3 tape only get us failed messages with nort really any explanations .

any tips, idea on where to look ?

Alot of software doesn't know about DDS3 capacity and handles the drive incorrectly. You need to patch your OS as well as the tape-agent.
Same problem goes with the newer DDS4.
