Beginners question

I'm completely new to Flash, and I want to use it to create some buttons for my website. I only want to use it to create an image file that I can use in my code, I don't need to do all the fancy stuff where you can change the look of the button in different situations.

I've had a quick go at doing this in Flash 5 and I go to New and draw a button and save it, but the file that is saved is always a movie file. I want to create an image file. How do I do this?

Go to File>Export and you can chose from several image types.
