Can anyone recommend a book to learn VB? I have several years of experience developing Access 97 databases, but have not used code very much. I have used simple demos and adapted the to my application.

Also, how can I tell what version I am running?

If you are a real novice to Visual Basic and programming in particular, I would recommend (together with the "dummies" book) J. Smiley's Learn to Program with VB6
If you do have some practice, then my favorite would be Petroutsos' Mastering VB6 or F. Balena's Programming Microsofts VB6 _________________________________
