Beginner question - inserting 1 file into another

Hi all Im very new to XML or any programming really. What Im trying to do at the moment is learn to mod a game, which requires me to use an initial mod.xml file. Id like that file to copy the contents of a package xml file into a third file at a certain point (not the entire file, just the contents without the header or <package> tags.

Also I am finding it very difficult to find a list of all the operators available in XML (1.0) and their definitions, so for example I know there is copyfile, but I dont know what arguments it can take.

Any help would be eternally appreciated

Man i am new around but i belive You didnt said what kind of language are you useing #C C# VB6 VB or Pascal or other .net or PHP write it down and i will try and send you some answer
