Hello Everyone,

We've had a (2003) Sharepoint 'site' for a while... Not too many savy people on it though...

QUESTION:

(security) We browse to our home / portal / site (or whatever)... From there we can choose different sites (hyperlinks) and within these sites there are 'shared documents'... HOW DO I LOCK THESE SHARED DOCUMENTS FOLDERS down....???

Is this even possible?

Many Thanks!
Brandon

You may apply security to the base document library. If you are the administrator, go to the "Modify Settings and Columns" link on the left under Actions. In the Settings page, under General Settings -> change permissions for the document library, adjust the permissions accordingly for the site groups.

I'd suggest getting the SPS2003 help document (.chm format). SPS is a fairly complex monster and I wouldn't do without the help if I were you.

Good luck

Phil H.

A virtual machine ate my accounting data. I transferred it to a physical box, then I beat it to smithereens with a sledgehammer. I feel better.
