beginner problem..please help

Hi, I am just setting up a test server running exchange 2000 so that I can learn it. I have installed the test server (windows 2000 server) with exchange 2000 on our network.

I have not configured exchange 2000 server at all yet, and was wondering what part of exchange server I need to configure first in order to be able to set up a mail box which outlook 2000 can use.

If I go into outlook now and add exchange server service it says that it cannot find my name in the address list. What do i need to configure to correct this?

Please help me overcome this first hurdle to i can carry on learning it cos i'm stuck here.

You need to create a user with an exchange mailbox first. If you already have a user created, right click on that user in ADU&C and look into Exchange Tasks.
