Beginner needs help with Server

yup - i suck
anyway,

i am fairly new to ASP and server configuration and stuff like that. I went to class but the Dumb teacher only showed us to create ASP pages no connecting or create configuring server what so ever (just taught us the theory aspect of that, probably wouldn't know how to configure the server himself, ha) anyway

I know you need IIS server (im using XP-Pro by the way) Got that and im using Visual Web Developer 2005 Express for the ASP pages,

but i am at a complete loss as to how to configure or setup a server so other machines on the network can access the pages i created

So if someone could dumb-it-up(explain) as simply as possible what to do or a link to some detailed information that would be nice for me
