Does anyone know of a VERY beginner level book (or ONLINE
site) which would contain only (or mostly) SQL exercises; including answers ?
I just started an E-Commerce class which is teaching Oracle 9i, then JAVA/XML/HTML, then the next session will be Oracle Database Administration.
I'm only 2 wks into the Oracle side which covers ERdiagrams; SQL and PL/SQL;Forms and Reports. We've just
starting working with the SELECT statement; including the
WHERE/DISTINCT/between/in/and/not null comparisons.
Have not reached the point of creating tables yet.
I'm interested in something that is either ONLINE or in book form where I could use the exercises to practices writing SELECT statements and executing them correctly.
I have Oracle 9i on my home PC and sample STUDENT databases to practice with.
My instructor recommended the book: Ooralce SQL Interactive Workbook by Princton Hall for $23.00. However, in reading reviews of this book, there seems to be several negative comments: about it NOT being useful to 'BEGINNERS';unorganized,editing/typo mistakes, etc.
Does anyone know of any other books with functional, doable EXERCISES for practice.
Thanks
