My site is ready but I am struggling to find the best and proper way to back up and transfer my data bith from the development environment and then a back up of data from the live site.

Basically, I want to schedule all new data from the site to be backed up here everyday, but which is the best way and how? I have been told DTS packages, Server agent jobs or do it manually?

All help appreciated.
Thanks,
JB

You will need tpo schedule backups and to test them so probably easiest to copy the backups and restore them - that'll mean you don't have to run additional test restores.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy.

Are there any tutorials on the best ways to do this - I'm sure there must be.
Seems like there are lots of ways to do it but no clear one.

Let' say I have a users table on the remote and I want to import that data into SQL server here at home each night.

What's the best way?

Thanks
