I am a fledgling database designer/ASP app developer for my company. There are several apps that are in my lap to be completed this year. Can someone offerup some advice on a good way to get organized (to begin with), better understand good, normalized datbase design, and ASP.NET. I know it sounds like a huge chunk to advise but I will take any guidance I can get.

Here is some theory. I feel quite strongly that a good design is a must to ensure the database provides the information you need...

JermeyNYC programs in Access, but the fundementals are transcending.

After designing your tables, test the schema by entering test data and make sure you can retrieve the required info.

Decide on presentation and security. Decide on reports. Don't be afraid to re-visit stuff already done. As you evolve, you will figure out better ways in doing tasks.

Modulize your code as much as possible - especially for each application. For example, you can use the same approach to security.
