befw11p1 on XP doesnt work

i have 3 new pc's at home with windows XP. I Am trying to share broadband and printer with linksys router/printer server(befw11p1). Router is hardwired to 1 pc and this works fine. Installed WMP11 linksys wireless network cards in other 2 machines. Cannot browse on either 1. was on phone with linksys all day. They had me upgrade firmware, uninstall and reinstall cards letting XP find drivers. They have told me IRQ's have to be under #15 on single processor machines. I have deactivated the ethernet cards...etc....
Am going crazy. It should'nt be this difficult. I have connected several wired networks without
much agravation, but this is making me sick. Last thing they asked me to do was to restore XP back to before i installed the wireless cards and the reinstall letting XP finding drivers and with no firmware on the machine. wireless PC's are telling me they have a strong signal, but i cant verify that the router is sending anything? any utilities or suggestions

turn off all of XP's bridging and any other network's your not using... Also I have had trouble with Linksys encryption on XP machines, make sure you load Linksys's Wireless app also.

Go into your Services Icon and make sure Wireless Services are starting automatically. Disabled by default for security (maybe resource too) reasons. Otherwise it should work fine. Mine does.
