I just bought a linksys befvp41 got it all setup and i have internet access to the entire LAN via DSL. the problem is i'd like to setup a VPN to a remote office also running a linksys ..vp41. Why can't i setup a vpn conncection with the windows 2k client. when running the wizard, it doesn't recognize the dSL connection it only reads the dialup. the dsl connection is PPPoE from verizon. i'm running the latest firmware for the router.

Pls check the documentation of VPN. The VPN is created between the Linky boxes, no additonal software/configuration needed for computers in LANs. VPN is just routing the packets from network A to B and v.v.
No other fiddling is necessary if the tunnel is created between the boxes.
