BEFSX-41 / SSH Sentinel Connect but no throughput

I can establish a VPN connection via SSH-Sentinel 1.3.2.2 under win98se (dialup) to a VPN endpoint on my Linksys BEFSX-41 (two win98se boxes behind the router).

Both ends confirm the connect -- however so far I have been unable to establish _any_ data throughput to or linkage to the LAN behind the router.

I would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance in resolving this problem. Thanks!

Background -- terse mode things I've tried

I've scoured the web for solutions and have ensured that the router is broadcasting netbios; I've tried "\\IP\resource" variants; I've tried the most recent interation of the Sentinel to BEFVP/SX connection guide from SSH (the 10 page PDF) -- the only new option suggested there I hadn't seen before was to specify a manual IP address which I tried -- result: connection no longer establishable.

Is your remote PC definitely in different IP network than your LAN? No traces of LAN IPs in LAN, WLAN, ISDN, Modem or any other interface.
