I still cannot connect
Do I need to configure soemthing else?

We have a 4 port also which can connect but I cannot get into it because someone changed the password.

HELP Please ASAP

For your 4 - port, hold down the reset button for approximately 30 seconds without interruption. All the lights will flash, the Diag light will come on, then all the lights will go out.

Unplug the router for 1 minute.

It is now at its factory defaults. The password is "admin" without quotes.

For your first question, just set the BEFSR81 to DHCP disabled, and run a Cat-5 line between the LAN port of the BEFSR41 to the uplink port on the BEFSR81. Now all are active.

You do not use the WAN port of the BEFSR81 in this instance.

I'll try the second post you sent.
I don't want to loose an settings in the 4 port unit by resetting it because it works. I believe something is set up in it to allow access to the internet. A login in or password or something.
