BEFSR41/XP/Net Path Not Found

I have a BEFSR41 Linksys router, at&t broadband cable, and winxp home on 2 desktops and 1 laptop. I can get internet on all three computers, but I can't file share anything. I have spent unsuccessful days trying to solve. i don't know how to disable firewalls, or vpn software, or pretty much do anything I've read that I think might help. going crazy...

Okay, I think I figured out how to disable the firewall.
It's a lot easier than I thought. Thanks for the extensive
material.
