I recently upgraded my BEFSR41 v. 2 firmware to 1.45.7.

I immediately noticed a slow down in my connections on all PC's in my house. Just to make sure this wasn't a problem with RoadRunner (from Time Warner cable), I connected each PC (one at a time of course) directly to the cable modem and the speed was as fast as it was before I upgraded the firmware.

Here are my questions:
1) Is there something I can do to speed this up now that I am on 1.45.7?
2) If not, what is the previous version to 1.45.7 so I can "downgrade) and get back to my original speed?

Thanks!

Try the 1.44.2 version.

Make sure you do a hard reset of the router after the firmware change, and re-input all of your values.

You might in fact try this first with your last firmware change.

I did a hard reset but the speed was the same. I installed version 1.44.2 and it now seems to be back to its original speed. Thanks!

You may want to see if there is a modem firmware upgrade from Time Warner. You may want to try that if you want to use the latest firmware from linksys. Don't know if it will help or not, but you can give this a try.
