BEFSR11 Firmware upgrade

Quick note:

About two weeks ago I upgraded my BEFSR11 to the 1.45.7 firmware because of security issues. For some reason, about half of 20 users stopped getting their POP mail. I could telnet into the mail server and see the mailboxes and their contents, but Outlook and Express could not access or download the messages. I rolled back the firmware to 1.42.7 and everything seems to be working again. Go figure.
This is connected to an Alcatel speed touch modem with DSL. I can't explain it, maybe someone else can? Hope this helps someone.

What version of the BEFSR11 do you have? The firmware requires version 2 of the router.

Thanks for the reply. I have to assume that since there is no version # that I have version 1. This is on the release notes for the firmware upgrade:

Linksys- A division of Cisco Systems, Inc.

Firmware Date : July 31, 2003
Current Firmware : Version 1.45.7
Product PartNo : BEFSR41 ver. 1 & ver. 2.x/BEFSR11/BEFSRU31

Maybe I am misreading this? For future knowledge would the supported products read BEFSR41/BEFSR11/BEFSRU31 ver. 1 & ver. 2.x for me to use them?

I take back what I said. I think you read the firmware release notes correctly. (You do have Version 1 of the router).
