Hi All, just looking for a few pointers...
I run Windows Server 2003 SBS, on a Compaq proliant DL380.
I've just started using ASP.NET visual studio 2.
I've created a sort of tester website to test the waters so to speak.
I've placed the files in the inetpub/ file for sharing over the internet.
I know my Gateway IP address and local machine domain name etc, so I can point my Internet Domain name at the files.
So, before I go into IIS and check the "Allow" box on the web service extensions, is there anything I should be aware of?
In particular i'm a bit concerned that when people enter my site they will have my web address i.e. " but in the bottom pane of IE it will show something like connecting to 187.43.524.76/mymachine.myservername.local
Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Phil
- nothing there yet so give me a few weeks to get something together. This ASP.NET looks like fun.
