Just installed a brand new system IPO500v2 (9.1.0.0 build 437) and VMPro (9.1.1.0 build 3). Anything I record to use as menu prompts for some reason records the beep that you hear in the receiver. So all of my menu prompts have a beep before them. Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks!

clear the mail box from the voice mail pro client and retest

These are recordings I am making using the Edit Play List action

have you tried to stop and restart voice mail pro service? worth a shot

Not seen this on my systems, but trim off the beep with a wave editor for now.
(I usually do that to any customer recordings, removing long pauses, background noice, etc)

Kind regards

Gunnar

I haven't encountered that since about version 2.1 where on one troublesome maintenance release it happened on almost every single user's voicemail greeting. Then it was the key press at end of the recording being caught and not the beginning.

Where are you using the Edit Play List from? Are you dialing in remotely to do the recordings from a system that has a higher than average DTMF duration? Perhaps someone is heavy fingered on the keypad when doing the recordings?

I just put in a 9.1 system (forget the exact build) and I used Edit Play List for all the menu prompts without any issues. Some were recorded internally (all IP phones on site) others were recorded by dialing in remotely. There's always the option to do the recordings through the Voicemail Pro client or on another system and transferring the files, or as Gunnaro suggested using a wav editor to remove the beeps.
