Beep before Page J-Series 1

New install IPO 500V2A 11.1.2.2.0 Build 20 and all 70 J-Series phone and 2 ALGO SIP Alerters are in the same Page Group. The paging works fine, but no beep is heard on the phones before the page, probably because too many IP Phones in the page group. Has anyone experienced this before and do you know what the cut-off for the number of phones is?
If I create a smaller page group to test with then the beep is heard prior to the page.
