Hi,

I'am using Backup Exec 9 (and I know that it is now possible to have differential backups with the unix agent). I've set up a Job
with the method "DIFFERENTIAL" - still I get only full backups? Is there another configuration switch I can use?
On the unix side the agent.cfg does not have any settings I might change regarding this task.
The unix agent runs on a linux box with ext3 filesystem.

Thanks much,

I don't have it in front of me, so I don't know the exact working, but in the type of backup, go down further, I think there is an option Differential, since time of last backup (or something similar)

BTW, you must run a full backup first for the differential to work properly.

Wow that was fast :)

Thanks for the answer

You are right. There are two options regarding differential:
Differential - modified files
Differential - with modified time

I'am using the german version so my translation may be inaccurage.

I will try the second option - thanks again.
