BE8 pre job commands - Erasing Tapes

Dear All,

I would like to erase the content of a DLT IV tape prior to it being used for a Job. Can someone please let me know the windows command I could put into "Backup Job properties > Advanced > Commands - Execute before backup" would make veritas 8.0 that will erase the tape. Also, can this be done as a batch file?
