BE8.6 and problems with backing up remote System State 1

We have just changed from ARCserve to BackupExec and are quite happy with that. Anyway, approximately once a week we get "Failed" backup status and the log says "Unable to open the item \_SharedHardlinkData_\0.0.0 - skipped. An error occured retrieving System State files. The System State file count not be backed up.".

The computer that we try to backup is a DC for our Windows 2000 domain and is quite loaded running SQL and AV software and have BE Remote Agent installed of course

It´s quite annoying failing with the backup on a DC. Could you please give me some helpfull comments and suggestions how to solve this problem?

What revision of Backup Exec 8.6 are you using? If it is rev 3808, there is a patch for your exact error:
