Does anyone have a custom Report that I can look at to get an idea on how this works. I have been having a hard time generation the reports I need.
Essentially I am looking for a basic report that will tell me at a glance the Date, the server it backed up, size, directories, Time started Time Ended. Most important is the success or fail. I get successful even if no data was backed up. Any ideas, pointers, suggestions would be appreciated. (Backup Exec 11D)

Have you tried Tek-Tools Profiler? These guys do an awesome job on monitoring Backup Exec, other backup platforms and a lot more. Very simple and easy to use/deploy app. I found answers to the Backup Exec questions that you mentioned and more in their tool.
