using version BE 8.5 have not tried any new patches. We are running 20x7 and need time reorg.

Job Properties:
Verify selection box is checked in the job properties
Follow Junction points is checked
log shows backup but job completion fails on verify

We have scheduled events take place Mon-Fri and the tape ejects after the job completes. On July 4th we let the schedule run but replaced the tape on the 8th. i checked the Job Monitor and found no errors.
Since then we have been having failed jobs on the verify process. the byte count has been consistent, but the log state failed verify.
After explicit debugging and reading support on Veritas I found that the scheduled process needed to be rebuilt from scratch, but now we cannot get a job to run.
I feel that a script is stored somewhere and trying to rebuild old settings. not sure. this software appears to be querky.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
